If you’re playing Diablo 4 and aiming to get the best gear, one of the things you’ll want is the Ancestral Bounty Cache. This special cache is a part of the Cache Claimer quest in the Season Journey, and it’s prized because it holds powerful Ancestral items — gear that significantly enhances your character’s power Diablo 4 gold.
Getting this cache involves interacting with the Tree of Whispers. To start, you must complete bounties from the Tree to earn Grim Favors. After collecting ten Grim Favors, you can return to the Tree or visit a Raven in any major city to trade them for a cache. You’ll pick one out of three types: Normal, Greater, or Ancestral. Among these, the Ancestral Cache is the rarest and most rewarding.
Unfortunately, Ancestral Caches drop at a low rate, and this drop rate feels like pure luck since no pity system exists to guarantee one after repeated tries. While it’s rumored that playing on higher torment levels or having a higher character level might improve your odds, this has not been officially confirmed.
To recognize an Ancestral Cache, look for orange text that says "Ancestral Collection of" followed by an Ancestral star symbol at the end of the description. This differs from Normal caches with white text and from Greater caches that have orange text but lack the Ancestral star Diablo 4 Items.
For an efficient way to complete your quest, remember you don’t need to open the caches to have them count. Collect a single cache, then drop and pick it up multiple times to speed up your progress. This tip, proven in the latest game versions, saves a lot of time and effort compared to farming multiple caches.
